Works with all progams and age groups, currently 16&U Boys Red Team and 18&U Girls, & assist others

20+ years of coaching at the club level, has also headed and assisted high schools, colleges, national/international teams and Olympic Development Programs along with National Zone Selection All-Star Camps…Currently help many colleges on scouting and recruiting…still enjoy playing polo with our adult masters…was a high school all-american back in the day, played club water polo since I was 6 years old, was a club swimmer growing up, played many other sports like basketball, baseball, soccer, skiing, snowboarding, surfing and other fun stuff…played college water polo for legendary coach Ted Newland at UC Irvine where our team was nationally ranled top 4 every year… also where I also earned my bachelors degree, also swam for UC Irvine’s swim team, was a 2 time scholar athlete at UCI..as a collegiate athlete I competed with and against many olympians and national team players…years later i finished my masters degree in Kinesiology from Long Beach State University…I am seriously thinking about going for my doctorate soon…I have been on many water polo commitees and organizing bodies for the growth and development of our sport in different capacities…I have been very foturnate to have been influenced and touched by so many great people involved with water polo over the years.

Eduardo Osorio-   

works with all age groups, currently with 12&Under Boys & Girls, splashball/aquaball…assists with 10&Us, 14&Us and high schoolers as well…

Eduardo  earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from California State University Fullerton and is currently working on his teaching credentials at California State University, Long Beach. He has been involved with water polo for 30 years… started playing water polo at the age of 13, and  a former Venezuelan water polo national team member… he came to the U.S. and played college ball at Long Beach City College for the late Hank Velekamp. Ediardo has lots of experience coaching at the high school, club and college level. He is still a great player in the water as a member of the Inter WPC masters men’s team. Eduardo lives with his wife Jennifer and two kids Ethan and Jenine who also play water polo.

John Ivins-

works with all age groups, especially 10&Under Coeds and 12&Under Boys, helps with splashball, aquaball,  12&Under girls, 14&Us and high schoolers as well

John played for Ted Newland at UC Irvine in the 1970s…coach Bahram considers him a brother from another generation.  John also played for Ken Hamdorf at Lakewood High School many moons ago. The kids love him, he is a guru to the program. His lovely wife Maureen is a big advocate of what we teach the kids…they have two grandkids in our club, Blake and Alyssa… John is a fighter of obstacles…especially since he beat up his Leaukemia diagnosis that hospitalized him for the most part of 2012

David Nunez-

works with all age groups, especially satellite program at Whittier College pool, helps with 10&Us, 12&Us, 14&Us and high schoolers as well…this summer he will lead up our 16&Under girls program and continue to develop our middle tier 16&U Boys players

A Graduate of La Habra High School where he was a standout player, David played in junior college as well along with different clubs growing up before he settled with us at Inter WPC where he not only coaches, but helps our adult masters team with his southpaw skills…David has worked at a few different high schools assisting their aquatics programs…he is young, energetic, polite and hardworking

Aleksandar “Sale” Petrovic-

works primarily with 14&Under Boys, assists girls 14&Us and high schoolers as well

Sale was team captain, mvp and leader scorer his senior year at Long Beach State University playing for Gavin Arroyo, where he earned all conference honors and finishing up his bachelors degree. Aleksandar learned how to play water polo in Belgrade, Serbia where he was a standout

Nikole Facklam-

works primarily with 14&Under girls, assists girls 16&Us, 14&Under Boys

Nikole started playing water polo her freshman year of high school for coach Bahram on  the fresh/soph team at Los Alamitos….her primary position was center forward, she later on moved up to JV and Varsity and swam for head coach Dave Carlson….Nikole extended her playing career to the next level at she lead the team in multiple categories the past few years at Santa Ana College….Nikole has been coaching in the club for a number of years and her loyalty to the program has enabled her to touch the lives of many of the local youth. Currently Nikole is also a member of the Inter WPC women’s 20& over masters team…Nikole is also engaged and expected to get married in the Fall of 2013

Brett Myers-

assistss with all age groups, especially 10&Us, helps with 12&Us, splashball & aquaball

Brett is a senior at Los Alamitos High School, where he played water polo and swam for head coach Dave Carlson. Brett Began playing water polo in coach Bahram’s local Los Al youth programs and was a member of a very strong 14&U Boys club team at Los Al his 8th grade year that experienced a tremendous amount of national success

Chris Kaps-

works with all high school age groups, especially 18&U boys right now, sometimes assists 14&Us

Chris has coached and developed many of the top talents over the years in Orange County. His passion for the game and the kids has earned him the respect of his peers and athletes for many years now. Chris has been both a high school head and assistant coach for a few different programs in water polo and swimming….leading his teams to top 4 CIF finishes and gaining college coach attention for so many of his athletes…Chris is currently assisting  at Fountain Valley High School, while also the head strength and conditioning coach for the aquatics program…he is also a member of the Inter WPC masters men’s team

Chris Rheaume-

works with all high school age groups, especially 16&U Boys Blue team

Chris began playing water polo in the 1980s at Pacific High School in Garden Grove, he later on coached for his alma mater for a number of years. His son Sean began playing on our 14&U team a few years ago, and now is a freshman standout at Los Alamitos High School…I asked Chris to coach with our club because he is patient with the athletes and enjoys helping with their development, he breaks parts of the game down for the players so they can understand better…coach Chris is also Mr. Rheaume, as he is apopular social studies teacher at Oak Middle School in Los Alamitos…many of our 14&Us have had him as a teacher, they get excited when they see him on the deck…Chris Rheaume is also a member of our Inter WPC men’s masters team

Milos Vrzic-

assists with all age groups, but primarily splashball, aquaball, 12&Unders, 14&Unders

Milos is currently a standout player for the 49ers at Long Beach State University. He is serious about his academic studies. A well disciplined athlete, student and coach…Milos comes from Serbia as his upbringing allowed him to also learn how to play water polo at the world famous VK Partisan club.

Andrew Bailey-

assists with splashball, aquaball and 12&Us primarily

Andrew is a senior at Los Alamitos High School where he played goalie for Dave Carlson on many successful teams… awaiting his acceptance into college where he hopes to continue playing water polo at the next level. Andrew started playing water polo in coach Bahram’s Los AL youth programs when he was 11 years old, later on Andrew was the starting goalie on our club’s 14&U boys team as an 8th grader that finished in the national elite class. Andrew’s sister Laura is married to 2012 and 2008 Olympic Goalie Merrill Moses.

Derek Wiebe-Bailey – works with all age groups, especially 12&Us, helps with 10&Us, 14&Us and high schoolers as well

Derek is currently taking a break from club coaching right now to focus on another career venture, he got married last year to his new bride Ashlynn and they live together in Long Beach. Derek also finished a masters degree in sports management from Long Beach State, prior to that he was an Ocean Lifeguard at Seal Beach and was an instructor as well for the junior guards program. He was an All-American player at Long Beach State University where he earned his bachelors degree. Derek still plays on our Inter WPC men’s masters 20 & Over team as our star goalie. Derek’s first learned how to play water polo at age 8, guess who was his coach back then ? yup…yours truly

Tim Trute- works with  14&Us and high schoolers as well

Tim is currently taking a break from coaching to focus on finishing up college and working at a few other jobs that take up his time. Tim played both at Los Alamitos High School as a goalie and also started playing club with coach Bahram as a stand out field player and goalie for two years on our very successful 14&Under team. Tim’s older brother Tyler also played at Los Al high school and our club and also coached with us on and off, they both occasionally play on our masters team, their parents Shauna and Norm are avid supporters of our club and they have a younger brother Tommy who is at Los Alamitos High School.

Brian Brown- works with all high school age groups, especially 16&U/18&U Girls

Brian is a part time coach with our club, currently he is the head coach at St. Joseph High School , a private school for girls in Lakewood
